Placemats full of Fun!!!!!

Hey need something that will fit in your purse, diaper bag, kids bag that will keep the kids busy while you are waiting for your table, waiting for your food, waiting for the doctor to call your name, or for practicing their name??????   Then you need my Chalkcloth Placemat.  These are so much fun.  They are made with fun and bright colored oilcloth on the outside and chalkcloth on the inside.  They roll up and tie closed with ribbon for easy storage and travel, and there is a little place to even hold the chalk.  The kids and you can play tic tac toe, hangman, practice their ABC's and 123's and their name.  All you need is my Chalkcloth Placemat, chalk, paper towel or napkin and a cup of water.  Write on the Chalkcloth Placemat with the chalk and when done or want to start over, wipe off with a damp paper towel or napkin then start drawing your masterpiece again.  They are $10 each and come with a piece of chalk.  They are great on the go and make amazing unique and fun birthday gifts.

Flower Garden headbands

Now it is easier for the babies who have very little or no hair to join in on the flower garden hair clips.  The headbands are soft and crocheted and will not leave a mark on the babies heads.  I currently have them in white, pink and purple, all will compliment the Flower Garden hair clips perfectly.  The Flower Garden Hair Clips are removable so you can have a new flower everyday or where Flower Garden Hair clip on its own.  The headbands are each $1 when you purchase a Flower Garden Hair clip.  Mother's Day is coming, get some great pictures taken with these fun and colorful flowers.

On the go Crayon Roll......

Hello All,  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break with your families.  I am getting ready for an upcoming showing at a college fair for early childhood developement.  So I have created these Crayon Rolls.  They hold 12 to 15 crayons and fits perfectly in the diaper bag, purse or childs backpack.  They are made of soft flannel and can easily be washed and dried. 

I will be selling them at $10 each with out crayons, and $11 with crayons.  Fabric patterns are boy or girl specific and if wanting to place an order, please send email to peekaboobabydesigns@gmail.com and specify child gender.  I can contact you with fabric available.

Snuggle Toy Keeper...$10 each

Ok so very excited about this one.  So with the pacifier holders I had planty of left over ribbon pieces and they just acumulated in a plastic container.  And actually were going to be tossed soon.  At my last craft fair a really nice lady came up and gave me an idea and I ran with it.  So here are my Snuggle Toy keepers.

The reason for the name is that they are made of fleece, really snuggly soft fleece, and with all the ribbon (12 in all) loops around the sides you can attach toys with the plastic link.  I currently have two patterns, one for girls (flowers) and one for boys (jungle animals).  They measure roughly about 16 1/2 inches by 13 1/2 inches.  Also as you can see with the boy pattern below you can use the plastic link to attach the Snuggle Toy keeper to your stroller or carseat and just about anything.  This way your little one is not dropping it on the ground and you will not have to take away their toys if you do not have a place to wash them off.

So I would like all the moms feed back on these to see what you think.  I only have 8 in stock and will be taking them with me to my Holiday Boutique on Saturday, 12/5/09.  So if you would like to get one for your little one or a gift please come by (see my post below for details).  I am selling them for $10.00.

Nursing Cover Inventory.......

I have had a couple of requests about my nursing covers and what I have in stock, so here are the pictures of the material and the bias strip I have lined the edges with.  If you would like to place an order please email me at peekaboobabydesigns.gmail.com.  They are $25 each and come with a flower or butterfly pin that you can use as a reminder which side you nursed on last.

Hey all, so I wanted to update you on some of my new items that I have and my prices.

Nursing Covers (made of 100% cotton and come with a flower or butterfly pin) $25.00
Baby gift set (made of flannel,includes; 1 bib, 2 burp cloths and 1 pacifier clip) $10.00
Tutu (made of tulle and elastic, and they close by tieing a ribbon in the back) $15.00
*with the elastic and ribbon tieing in the back the tutus will grow with your little princess
Hair bows (metal hair clip with small ribbon) $2.00
Infant crochet hat $8.00

Diaper Cakes are priced per order. They start at $30.00 which include 1 baby gift set, coordinating ribbon and flower decoration and approximately 34 Pampers diapers size 1 and 2. The pictures of the diaper cakes I have included in this post are $60 and $75, due to the personalization on the ribbon and the added items (socks, onesies, pants, teether, full size baby lotions/soaps, bath toy).   The top is crafted with the burp cloth and bib rolled to look like roses and wrapped with flower tape to keep them in place.

First Craft Fair!!!

So excited and I had an amazing time. So I just completed my first official craft fair, I have done two in home boutiques. My first boutique started with just my nursing covers, then my second boutique I added the bibs, burp cloths and pacifier clips, and now for this Craft Fair I added, hair bows, crochet infant hats, tutus and diaper cakes. Now I have even more ideas to bring to the table for the future (which I have another in home boutique on 12/5/09). So here are some pictures of my booth at the fair. I feel that my mom and me set it up nicely and I may not have walked away with a huge profit, however I did cover my expenses and will move forward with more designs and increase my inventory. I learned what to do for future craft fairs and I am really excited for the future of Peek A Boo Designs.

Bibs, burp cloths and pacifier clips

So excited about these and they are hot sellers. I sell them in what I call baby gift set, this includes 2 burp cloths, 1 bib and 1 pacifier clip and they are all bundled together for $10.00.

What is Peek A Boo!!

Well it is the favorite game of both of my kids and I would play it the most when I was nursing them. And when I was trying to think of a name for my designs my mom helped me think of this. I am a mom of two, a 5 1/2 year old and a 17 mos old and time is flying fast. I love to sew and have sewn my daughters birthday dress every year and also her halloween costumes each year, as well as my sons. I have been sewing since I was little and doing many hands on crafts thanks to my mom. It is like it is in my blood. I am always thinking of how I could recreate things.
So with Peek A Boo Designs i started out with nursing covers, and have now added, burp cloths, bibs and pacifier clips. The nursing covers are all out of cotton, this makes it so the baby and the mom do not get too hot while nursing. Also they are all made out of fun fabrics that are stylish to the mom and fun for the baby to look at as well. My bibs, burp cloths and pacifier clips are made out of flannel. They are soft to touch for your baby and also in fun prints and colors.
I am excited as I will be doing my first craft show in 2 weeks. I have spent the last two weeks sewing my butt off to have a good supply. I have done 2 small boutiques and got lots of tips and what to do, but this is my first real big event.
